Supporter: purchase and refund terms

In short. Moazzin is free. Supporter is an optional way to help pay for it, and it unlocks extra colour themes only. Prayer times, adhan alerts, the Qibla, the tracker and the Quran are never locked. Apple or Google takes the payment and handles cancellations and refunds.
Moazzin (the app and moazzin.com) is made and run by Hassan Ansari, an individual developer in India. “We”, “us” and “our” on these pages mean him. Write to [email protected] about anything on this page.
Supporter may not be on sale in every version or country yet. When it is, these terms apply together with the terms of use.
What you get
- Extra colour themes (today: Night Sky and Horizon). We may add or change Supporter extras, but we will not lock any feature that is free today.
- Supporter is a purchase of app extras. It is not a charity donation, zakat or sadaqah, and it is not tax-deductible.
Plans and prices
- Monthly and Yearly: subscriptions that renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- Lifetime: a single payment.
- The price, currency and taxes for your country are shown by the App Store or Google Play before you confirm. The store charges your account when you confirm and, for subscriptions, at each renewal.
Cancelling a subscription
- iPhone, iPad, Mac: Settings › your name › Subscriptions (or the App Store › your account › Subscriptions). Cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date to avoid the next charge.
- Android: Google Play › your profile › Payments and subscriptions › Subscriptions.
- Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. After cancelling, Supporter stays until the end of the period you paid for.
Refunds
We never see your payment details, and payments go to Apple or Google first, so refunds are made through them under their rules:
- Apple: request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. Apple decides.
- Google Play: within 48 hours of buying, you can request one in Google Play; after that, see Google Play's refund help. You can also email us with your order number (it starts with GPA.); where Google lets us, we will refund a Google Play purchase that didn't work as described.
- Your legal rights as a consumer (for example in the EU, UK or India) are not affected.
Your purchase on other devices
- Use “Restore purchases” in the app on a new device signed in to the same Apple ID or Google account.
- Apple and Google don't share purchases with each other, so a purchase on Android doesn't unlock iPhone, and the reverse.
- The app keeps your Supporter status on the device. It does not yet check with the store when a subscription ends, so themes may stay available for a while after a subscription lapses; a later version may check and remove them.
